2019 Annual Spring Symposium

Join us on Saturday, April 27, when San Jose State University’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning and the Urban Planning Coalition are hosting our Annual Symposium at the Martin Luther King Jr. Library.

The symposium will focus on “Personal Transportation Device: Present and Future.” Panel discussions will focus on opportunities and challenges related to personal transportation modes, with an emphasis on present and future progress.

Admission is free. Breakfast and lunch will be provided with registration.

Past Event: MTI Visiting Scholar - "A Guide for the Idealist: Launching and Navigating Your Planning Career"

This interactive workshop is built around attendees’
interests. Following a brief introduction of "A Guide
for the Idealist" and the concept of principled
adaptability, attendees complete a questionnaire
about their professional practice questions.

 

The facilitator will then lead a discussion around those
topics. Attendees leave with an enhanced framework
for understanding their practice and making
effective decisions.

Three planning professionals with extensive hiring experience will discuss what makes a stellar resume in the planning world. Individual breakout sessions will follow the panel discussion.

 

Bring two or three resumes for individual one-on-one guidance. Refreshments provided!
